Art's Ledger is a commission ledger and publishing project. It tracks artwork — from ancient stone gardens to symphonies to novels to whistled ephemera — all of it commissioned and patronized by this ledger's titular character.

This ledger is a companion piece to a novel in progress — a modern retelling of Sir Gawain and the Green Knight.

Open entries are works in progress — commissions underway, covenants not yet fulfilled. Closed entries have been resolved and entered. Sealed entries are held until release.

I, G—, began my journey on January 1 of this year, in covenant with The Green Knight. The Christmastide game that you can join will set a covenant — to make a piece of original art, or to walk the year alongside me — before the New Year in 2027.

The two games currently active — The Green Knight and The Holes of Il Disinganno — are played at Christmastide. They have their own rules, their own stakes, and their own pages. If you are here, you are welcome to look around. If something calls to you, enter therein.
